Virtual Florist
Virtual Florist was one of the first sites that offered free email-able greeting cards, the sister site to a local floral shop which was one of the first sites to sell flowers electronically. The animations below were all drawn in Photoshop, exported as separate jpg images, then animated with GifAnimator. This was before photoshop incorporated animations. Eventually, photoshop supported GIF animations within itself. I also created animations using an app called GoLive and Flash. The themes of the virtual cards were based on a yearly calendar of events as well as major holidays and general greetings. Along with creating all the animations, I maintained both websites and created every graphic, edited photos, and changed the site colors and banners according to the current holiday season.
